In partnership with the University of Michigan SEAS, MEJC released research that identified EJ Hotspots in 2019 with the goal to implement the first cumulative impact study to be used in permit decisions, pollution planning, and resource distribution for the State of Michigan.

Policy Solutions

Mobilizing for a Just Transition means stopping the bad-- poison permits, shutoffs, rulemaking rollbacks-- and building for the future to advance policies like community solar, energy efficiency, health in all decision-making, resources for community direct investment and more at the local , state and federal levels!

Networks

Building networks at the regional and national level, as well at the local level, means connecting through relationships, building trust, and empowering one another to take action in cities and rural communities hardest hit by centuries of environmental injustice. We do this through listening sessions, one-on-ones to build leadership in communities of color..
