Anne Marie Hertl

Deputy Director

Anne Marie Hertl joins the MEJC team leveraging a decade of non-profit experience working as an organizer and regional activist to support social justice movement building throughout the environmental sector in Michigan. Hertl supports initiatives centering racial equity, advocacy, and climate resiliency efforts and using tactics like equity education, coalition development and values-based advocacy. She is a trained racial equity facilitator, educator, and trainer with experience leading white-dominant non-profits and environmental organizations through development of institutional equity and justice-culture programming.

Hertl was recently appointed the President of the Board of Directors at the Grand Rapids Pride Center currently leading their efforts for organizational sustainability, strategic planning, and financial health.
