Chris Gilmer-Hill

Chris Gilmer-Hill has been a part of the MEJC policy team since April 2024, and he was elected to the steering committee of the Environmental Justice Caucus in 2024. He has previously organized for environmental and economic justice with numerous other groups in Michigan, and he has served as legislative committee lead for Detroiters for Tax Justice, Electoral Chair of Metro Detroit Democratic Socialists of America, and former treasurer of the Harvard Young Democratic Socialists of America. Chris is focused on holding our Democratic trifecta accountable to the environmental demands of every Michigan community, securing electoral wins for our environmental justice movement, and pushing the bounds of legislation through transformative initiatives to take back our power from corporations and win a clean and sustainable future for Michigan.
